When the Princess of Wales arrived for her fourth annual Christmas carol service, she was greeted with thunderous applause.
When Catherine, 42, arrived at Westminster Abbey in London for the festive soiree, she looked stunning in a red coat with a black oversized bow designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.
The Very Reverend Dr. David Hoyle, Dean of Westminster, met the Princess outside the church.
The regal Abbey was decked out with twinkling lights, sustainable ornaments inspired by nature, and trees and foliage donated by the King from Windsor Great Park.
With a touching illustration by Charlie Mackesy on the cover depicting a group of people walking through the snow toward the Abbey with their arms wrapped around each other and the caption, “How did I help?” “You were by my side, which was everything”.

The service honored those who have “inspired, counselled, comforted, and highlighted how love unites and connects us all” as well as those who have “shown love, kindness, and empathy to others in their communities.”
Each guest received a letter from the Princess, which read: “This Carol Service is a heartfelt celebration of every one of you, and a reminder that at Christmas, and throughout the year, we must all shine for each other. Because in times of joy and sadness, we are all each other’s light.”
The purpose of the service was to give people a chance to reflect on the value of loved ones, particularly in trying times. The Princess is gradually returning to public duties after undergoing cancer treatment, and the King is still receiving care from cancer specialists.

Arrival of the Princess of Wales
The crowds had gathered outside the Abbey to see Catherine, and she waved to them.
The Princess wore a tartan ensemble underneath her appropriately red outfit, which was probably a dress by Emilia Wickstead or a midi skirt.
She wore a pair of long black suede heeled boots with her McQueen coat.

Hair and Makeup
Catherine chose a smoky eye makeup look and pink gloss, and she wore her brunette hair in her signature blow-dried waves.

All in the Details
The Princess added a pair of large gold earrings to complete her ensemble.

Proud Family
Together with their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, the Prince of Wales proudly supported his wife.

Coordinating Siblings
Charlotte wore a burgundy coat and navy tights, while George and Louis coordinated their outfits to match their father, Prince William, who wore navy suits and red ties.

Matching Cousins
As they wore plum outfits, matching cousins Princess Beatrice and Zara Tindall received the message.
Along with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and his eight-year-old son, Wolfie, Beatrice, who is expecting her second child, attended.

The Windsors
Maud and Isabella, the daughters of Lord and Lady Frederick Windsor, accompanied the Windsors to show their support for the Princess of Wales.
Sophie made a suggestion last week that there would be a family get-together following the event.
The Sanditon star revealed what she was most excited about at Catherine’s carol service while speaking at the Fayre of St. James’ Christmas charity event.
Lovely readings and lovely music. She added, “And Hors d’Oeuvres.”
