Fans of Taylor Swift have plenty to be excited about as reports suggest the 35-year-old global superstar is in the early stages of developing a brand-new album, with a 2026 tour already in the works.
According to industry insiders, Swift’s upcoming album will offer an intimate glimpse into her personal experiences, drawing inspiration from her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and her evolving friendships, particularly with actress Blake Lively.
An AEG source revealed to Express.co.uk that Swift has been writing new material behind the scenes, even crafting songs while on her last tour. The source stated:
“Taylor is in the development stages of her new album, which is set for release at the end of the year. She wrote songs backstage during her last tour, and executives at AEG have been advised to prepare for another tour in 2026.”
Further detailing the album’s themes, the insider added:
“Those who have had the opportunity to hear some of her ideas say the music reflects everything she has been going through, including her relationship with Travis and changes in her friendships, particularly with Blake Lively.”
Super Bowl LIX Experience Sparks Buzz
News of Swift’s new music comes just weeks after she found herself at the center of attention during Super Bowl LIX.
While supporting Kelce and the Chiefs from her VIP suite, she unexpectedly faced a mixed reaction from the crowd, largely made up of Philadelphia Eagles fans.
As the stadium cameras focused on her, Swift appeared surprised when boos erupted from sections of the audience. Seated alongside Ice Spice and Este Haim, she was seen mouthing, “What’s going on?” in response to the sudden outburst.
Despite the negative reaction, the pop icon remained composed, unfazed by the unexpected crowd response.
