Swift last month took to Instagram to declare her support for the Democrat ticket following Harris’ debate with the Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump.
Taylor Swift’s penmanship was questioned after Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy posted an image of a handwritten she had sent him Saturday
‘I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,’ Swift said. ‘I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.
‘I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.’
The feted entertainer encouraged her fans to get informed on the issues at hand before casting their ballots.
‘I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice,’ Swift said. ‘Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make.’
Portnoy, a self-proclaimed Swift superfan who has endorsed Trump, defended the musical artist in a post, saying he didn’t change his opinion on her because they have differing political views.
‘As the king of the Swifties people are asking me what I think of her Kamala endorsement,’ Portnoy said. ‘I don’t care at all. People can vote for whoever they want in this country.
‘How somebody votes will never change my opinion of a person. I’m voting the other way but to each their own.’
Swift told Portnoy in the letter, ‘Dave, I’m so happy to have you at the show tonight! I wanted to say thank you for always being so supportive, so loyal, and for having my back when a lot of people didn’t.’

Swift’s handwritten note garnered the attention of fans for its content and aesthetics, with one fan saying, ‘That signature is wild lol.’
Other comments critical of Swift’s writing included: ‘This is amazing but low key she has terrible hand writing;’ ‘The signature is not what I’d expect;’ and ‘I didn’t think anyone could have worse handwriting than me till I saw this.’
Another said it ‘looks like a 6 year old wrote the whole thing,’ while a fan defended Swift noting her massive net worth.
‘That a 6yr olds $1.6billion signature,’ the fan said. ‘Congrats Dave & thanks for being a Diehard Swiftie & ALWAYS having Moms back!!!’

Portnoy also praised Swift for her efforts during Saturday’s show, saying that he ‘can’t get over how unbelievable’ she is on stage.
Portnoy said that he met Swift’s brother Austin and mother Andrea, but didn’t meet Taylor herself.
‘I didn’t meet Taylor – that’s fine – I don’t think she ever really meets people when she’s performing,’ he said.
Portnoy said the note itself meant more to him since the musical artist ‘took time out’ of her packed slate to pen it.
Portnoy on his podcast had initially said he thought that Swift’s reps had ‘totally ghosted’ him over the show, but ‘were very nice’ when they finally chat.

A more specific critique came from ex-Fox News host Megyn Kelly, 53, who said that the singer had essentially divided her own audience with the endorsement.
