The royal couple visited Wales on Wednesday

Prince William and Princess Kate visited Wales on Wednesday for a string of engagements ahead of St David’s Day (March 1).

The Prince and Princess of Wales arrived in the country by train on Wednesday (February 26) in their first joint engagement since their half-term break last week.

The couple visited Pontypridd in South Wales, which was hit by Storm Bert and Storm Darragh in November and December last year.

During the visit, Prince William, 42, and Kate, 43, also toured Pontypridd Market and visited The Welsh Cake Shop.

Here they learned how to make traditional Welsh cakes.

I love seeing them happy and enjoying the moment.

It was during this visit that a sweet moment was spotted by fans between the Prince and Princess of Wales. As they donned aprons and prepared to make the cakes, William and Kate enjoyed a “genuine” moment of love.

In a video shared to X, which you can see here, William is seen tying his apron as he talks to Kate. The princess then walks over to her husband and places a hand on his side as she gives him a tap.

Royal fans loved the simple but sweet moment between the pair.

One person said: “Genuine love right there!”

Another fan gushed: “They are so natural together.”

Someone else added: “I love seeing them happy and enjoying the moment.”

Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “These two are so in love.”

The couple then cracked on with making some Welsh cakes – which are traditional Welsh sweet bread that can be similar to scones.

Elsewhere on the trip, many fans were focused on how radiant Princess Kate was looking. Many fans were left gushing over her long bouncy locks.

She had it styled in soft waves. Kate wrapped up for the chilly weather as she wore a red wool coat and a brown turtleneck underneath. She finished the look with brown suede boots.

One fan gushed online: “What a joy to see HRH the Princess of Wales, the future queen, looking so well, so beautiful, always elegant and loving.”

Another added: “The Princess of Wales is truly iconic. Her hair!”

However, some others were concerned about Kate not tying her hair up whilst making the cakes.

One said: “OMG… I love Princess Catherine… but please tie your hair back when creating food for other people.”

Another added: “No thank you! Cake with hair is a no-no! Just saying.”
