Angel Reese is not letting any of her doubters slip off as she heads to the playoffs with her team, Rose BC, in the Unrivaled League. After a stellar performance against Laces BC, where she scored 16 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, Reese made time to blast ESPN’s Unrivaled team ranking.

In the closely contested matchup, Reese helped her team secure a playoff spot with a narrow 58-53 victory. With this win, Rose BC’s record improved to 7-5, placing them in second position in the league behind the Lunar Owls BC. However, after the win, Rose BC’s official social media account took a shot at ESPN’s Unrivaled ranking as they placed the team in sixth rank.

And the timing couldn’t be more perfect than right after securing a playoff berth. In addition to the team taking a dig at the broadcasting network for undervaluing Rose BC, Reese herself retweeted. She pointed at the widespread narrative of the team being highly active on TikTok and not performing well.

“The 6th place tik tok team,” Reese captioned her retweet.

Reese had an impressive rookie season in the WNBA with the Chicago Sky, and she looks as confident as she prepares for her second year. Selected seventh overall in the 2024 draft, she made a significant impact by leading the league in rebounds and earning All-Star honors. She’s averaging 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.

Angel Reese Wins Praise From Chelsea Gray For Her Unrivaled Growth

Angel Reese has been winning hearts during her time with Rose BC in the Unrivaled League this offseason. After an impressive rookie season with the Sky, Reese is clearly focused on refining her skills and addressing the areas in her game that need improvement.

The Chi Barbie recently won praise from her fellow star, Chelsea Gray, for her hard work and phenomenal performance. Gray noted that Reese’s dedication in practice and during games is paying off. She also pointed at the Sky star putting in extra time behind the scenes for perfect on-court success.

“She’s been putting extra time and putting extra work in. And it’s showing in some of these games. You could put a lot of work in and it still not go your way. But it’s the habits that create those moments and those opportunities. So when you’re put in that position, you take full advantage of it,” Gray said.

Reese made history on February 21 by delivering the first 20+ point, 20+ rebound game in Unrivaled history against the previously undefeated Lunar Owls BC. Following that performance, she continued to impress, contributing 16 points and 17 rebounds in her team’s win over Laces BC on March 3.
