Barron Trump’s performance at his father’s inauguration had many social media users and commentators excited about his political future.

The 18-year-old freshman at New York University took on a more mature role at the events this time around, as he was just 10 years old when Trump entered the White House the first time in 2017.

Barron was near his father as he was sworn in, and alongside the tech titans that Trump has welcomed into his vision for his second term.

‘There has been some talk that Barron might be next in line to the Trump political dynasty,’ said Executive Politics Editor Kelly Laco in the latest episode of Welcome to Magaland: Inside Trump’s second 100 Days.

‘He was right behind his father… we might be able to see a little more of Barron and a more mature and more of a political role down the line.’

Trump acknowledged Barron, who towers over the president at 6-foot-9, during one of his remarks on Monday, saying  his youngest son helped him reach a younger crowd.

‘I have a very tall son,’ the 6-foot-3 Trump said in the Capital One Arena as the crowd erupted in cheers and Barron triumphantly raised his hands in the air, in a shift from the more reserved Barron the country is used to.

‘He knew the youth vote. We won the youth vote by 36 points. He was saying – “Dad, you have to go out and do this [podcast] or that one,’ Trump said.

‘We did a lot of them. He respects them all, he understood them very well.’

Social media users and fans of Donald Trump were quick to notice Barron’s more mature presence at the inauguration and speculated about his political future.

‘There’s something about Barron Trump,’ said one X user. ‘This kid is going to be president one day.’

‘Barron Trump is straight gangsta,’ said another X user. ‘Got his dad’s smirk. Love that kid.’

‘Donald Trump is a natural,’ added a third commentator. ‘Totally owned the moment.’

Barron was also hailed as a ‘true gentleman’ for shaking hands with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris at his father’s inauguration.

The gesture of peace has led fans to praise the New York University freshman as ‘a gentleman’ and ‘raised well.’

‘[Melania] brought up a true gentleman wow I’ve never seen a classier 18 year old,’ one person said.

‘Smart young man. Knows his way around the room,’ a second person said. ‘He is very impressive & clearly, raised well,’ a third said.

After he was sworn in during a ceremony surrounded by tech titans and media moguls, Trump promised a ‘new golden age of America.’

‘The decline is over,’ he told about 600 allies, dignitaries and family members inside the U.S. Capitol building.

He used his inaugural address to balance the idea of an optimistic new dawn with his long-standing accusations that he was the target of a weaponized justice system and to promise a sweeping crackdown on illegal immigration.

As Arctic temperatures blasted Washington, D.C., outside, Trump was surrounded by the Washington political establishment, tech titans, and MAGA allies for his inauguration inside the Capitol building.

It offered a visual illustration of how the one-time political outsider has conquered Washington in an extraordinary political comeback, becoming only the second president in history to win non-consecutive terms.
