“Everything [my two daughters] throw on I love, but one of the first ones they threw on when they were young was ‘The Best Day,’ ” he told the outlet. “We connected with that when the kids were young.”
As well as noting his fondness for that track, which is from 34-year-old Swift’s album Fearless, Sandler — who is starring in a new Netflix comedy special, Love You — also shared that his family has a relatable tradition when it comes to the singer’s albums.
“Every album, we listen the first day it comes out,” he said. “There’s not a song they don’t know every word to.”

Sandler’s comments come after he recently appeared on the Aug. 28 episode of the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast with hosts Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce.
During the podcast, Travis, 34, brought up how Sandler took his daughters Sadie, 18, and Sunny, 15, — whom he shares with wife Jackie Sandler — to the premiere of the pop superstar’s concert movie, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.
“What a girl. Dude, she means so much to our house,” Sander told Travis, who is dating Swift, and his older brother, adding, “Since the kids … were little, we were listening to Taylor Swift and listening to every song.”
In the same podcast appearance, Sandler also said that he and his family are rooting for Travis and Swift’s relationship.
“At first, when you guys first started dating, my God was my family like, ‘Yes! Look how good they are together. Look how he’s a gentleman and she’s having so much fun with him.’ Like, anytime Taylor’s laughing with you, my whole f—ing family is, like, high-fiving,” the actor teased.
“So good, man,” Travis responded, before he added with a laugh, “You got me sweating over here.”
Travis and the “Blank Space” singer confirmed their romance in October 2023, when they stepped out holding hands at a Saturday Night Live afterparty.
